Benefits of Online Pilates Classes

Pilates is one of the greatest ways to relax, improve your core stability, strength and keep you mobile for life.

To benefit from Pilates, you have to practice it regularly and challenge yourself with improving your form and taking on more demanding exercises

If you feel confident to practice it on your own that’s great, although most people need help and guidance from professional, qualified teachers to ensure correct form, either in a class or 1:1

Nowadays, owing to the COVID pandemic, we have been forced to go online for our shopping, socialising, education, work and obviously, to improve and maintain our health and wellbeing.

Up until quite recently, we would have hotly debated the real benefits of online fitness training but now, we don’t have a lot of choice.

So, what is the big deal with online training solutions?

Let’s stay with Online Pilates. Here are some obvious benefits:

  1. Online classes are convenient

This is because, with online Pilates classes, you are not required to travel to where the instructor is to attend the class. Besides, think about all the stress which comes with traveling - traffic, bus or train is delayed, etc.  and you may also miss some important parts of the training.

With an online class, you just sit in your room and press the button to join on your phone or computer.  Often, the view of the instructor is better on the screen and the instructions clearer than straining to see and hear from the back of a classroom.

2. You save a lot of time

If there is a mode of learning where you save a lot of time, then it is the online method. This is because there is no time to travel to and from the learning venue. All the required classes can be accessed online in the comfort of your home, and with the extended working that we all seem to be doing during lockdown, the giveback in time is valuable.

With the face to face class, you will be required to travel physically to where the classes are held and this waste a lot of time. The time that would have been used to travel can be used to do other productive activities.

3.It is economical compared to physical methods of learning Pilates

This is because there are no expenses that are related to traveling and even parking your car by venue classes are held.  The classes themselves are often cheaper in the virtual world too.

With the online classes, you just relax at home and attend all the classes online. All that is required is the internet connection charges that are cheaper than the traveling expenses. Moreover, you can ask your instructor for video recording of your class. This means that you will not spend more money to photocopy handouts and other requirements. At long run, you will save a lot of money if you consider online classes.

Online classes are the most convenient way of developing your Pilates skills – it really isn’t essential to be physically with the instructor during the session.

All you need for such online classes is your commitment to attend it and enjoy.  We have been really surprised by the positive reaction to our Pilates online classes – the feedback has been wonderful.  The tools, such as Zoom are very good, and we have clients that happily participate using no more than their mobile phone and a few feet of space!
